Fall Bucket List

Recently my therapist challenged me to do one act of self-care for 15 minutes each day… well maybe I should start from the beginning. I’m in therapy now. If you’re just stumbling across this blog, let me give you some context. I’ve had a YouTube channel and have been creating content for about four years now. I’ve lived in Orlando, Fl for two of those years, and recently I uploaded a video titled “Moving to Orlando DID NOT Fix All of my Problems”.

In this video, I address the inconsistency of my social media posting and how down I’ve been feeling lately. In an act of desperation, I signed up for online therapy with BetterHelp (not sponsored just a fan) and booked myself many doctors appointments that were long overdue. So now back to my 15 minutes of self care. When my therapist told me this, my immediate thought was I have no idea what to do. Some of the examples she gave me, watch a tv show, read a book, etc. were all things that I already did in my normal life. I try to read a book before bed each night (although recently that’s been taken over by playing ACNH on my Nintendo switch). I already watched tv shows with my husband on a regular basis so suggestions like this didn’t feel special or self-care-y.

Then I was inspired by Allison Bickerstaff (I’m always inspired by Allison Bickerstaff… who isn’t?) She always makes these fun seasonal bucket lists. I’ve always thought that was a great way to slow down and intentionally celebrate the special nuances of each time of year. So that’s when I had my answer. This is how I would do my regular acts of self-care. I’m going to make a bucket list, hang it up on my fridge, and be intentional about checking each one off and savoring the season of life that I’m in. So, I’m here to share it with you as well. I hope this fall bucket list inspires you to create memories this autumn season and to slow down and focus on yourself.

Warmest wishes, Katie
